Hello Inkscape community, I'm very very new to vectoral graphic so mostly I have no idea what I'm doing.
I tried creating this map of The Elder Scrolls continent of Tamriel using the Brezier Tool and I'm satisfied with the result.
The problem I'm facing is with coloring. As you can see it gets confused and ends up not coloring the center at all, while coloring areas that it should leave empty (sea and lakes).
Any idea how I made this mess and how I can resolve it? I'll also provide theΒ file linkΒ (it doesnt allow me to attach the file as a normal attachment because it's too big, 34 MB) if someone wants to see with their own eyes the confusing mess I made.
Those are open paths. Select all -ctrl+A-, combine them together -ctrl+K-, then use the node tool -F2- to select allΒ nodes -ctrl+A- and click the third icon from the left in the tool settings -join selected nodes-.
After that, you can add the desired fill in the fill and stroke tab -shift+ctrl+F-.Β
If you are missing some holes in the fill, use the node tool to select a node of the subpath "not making" the hole, then click path/reverse.

Wow thank you so much. It felt so simple yet it would have taken me a long time to understand by myself.Β
Thank you again :)
You are welcome!
Sometimes it is easier to do than explaining it. Glad it worked!
