Hi all, I am trying to load an extension for Context Free Design Grammar, and although there are about 250 extensions in the gallery; it does not appear in the available list for upload. Your assistance in resolving this issue is appreciated.
Good morning. Thanks for the expeditious response. Yes that's the extension I would like to have included in the available active extensions for use in Inkscape.
Hello again. I followed instructions provided and was able to save the BMP and SVG images as CFDG files; however there was no data created within the CFDG file. Do you have any idea why anticipated results were not produced within the file? Should I go directly to Mr. Pakin? Thanks.
Good morning, I thought my troubles were over. I can get the extension to work properly with the SVG you sent me, but I cannot get it to work with my SVG's. Are there issues with certain SVG's as opposed to others? I hope this will be my last question on this topic.
Good morning inklinea. I ran some tests and by using a jpg image it failed to create data output. I tried to save the jpg file as an svg and again unsuccessful. Finally I converted my jpg file to svg, with an online converter. The svg was then imported to Inkscape and saved as an CFDG, success. Thank you for your interest in the issue, and I consider the problem closed and resolved.

You mean as a output Save As option included with all standard Inkscape installations ?
You can request it here:
https://gitlab.com/inkscape/inbox/-/issues
If you just want to install the extension, then drop it into your Inkscape user extension folder and unzip.
You can find that folder under Edit>Preferences>System>User Extensions

I am using
Inkscape 1.3 (1:1.3+202307231459+0e150ed6c4)
Ubuntu 22.04.3 LTS
Seems to work for me. I've attached an svg with text, text to path, rect / ellipse / path / star ( with bitmap copies of each ) and the Inkscape logo
svg and cfdg attached.
After playing around with it for a while I eventually got it to run successfully. Thanks for your patience.

First thing I would check.
If you launch Inkscape from the command line.
Then if an error occurs, it might appear in the terminal window.
If you are able to post an example svg ( please be aware the whole world can see it if you do )
I will see if I can have a look.
